A Second Wind

Its funny how in some moments, you are stalling
Waiting for the next minute to pass
Counting the next second
So anxious to be free.
Then, in others,
The hours move by more quickly than you could ever imagine.
And your life is passing you by like a whirlwind
So fast that you can barely keep up
Leaving your hair a mess on what was once a cool summers day.
I think its important to learn from these moments.
To not let them dictate the story of your life,
But to become the dictator over them.
After all,
It is in these moments when we lose all that life has to offer
And miss of the amazing moments and memories
that progress with the tick of the clock
or seep into even the quickest of hurricanes.

A Weird World

It's funny how just the littlest things can make your heart beat, how the simplest breeze can put a smile on your face. Weird to think how the sight of images can inspire a memory, the sound of music can create a symphony, and the taste of foods can create a flavor.

What a weird little beautiful world.

Final Domination

Slow. Breathe. Everything you do is getting you somewhere now. Calm. Focusing is so important. You need to gain control. To do everything in your power to take hold of these stressfull moments before they take hold of you. One thing at a time, the responsibilities will take care of themselves, if you just slow down, and work as hard as you can within the moment.

Sometimes you just have to accept that the world isn't fair and hope that one day, knowing that will get you ahead of those who purposefully cause you to fall behind for their own benefit or well-being.

The Motley Crew

They come around from near and far
May never know just who they are.
The stranger sometimes, that you may not see.
But such a light to offer for you and for me.
Energy, Light,
Love and faith
And the reason and the logic that you cannot take.
Awesome and cool in all that they do
Cause there’s no one quite like them
They are the motley crew.

Sing a Little Song

Look at me walkin round. Singin that song. That song that I know cause of you. That tune in my head that I take to my my bed, and I wake up singin it too! No melody sweeter, no harmony greater, than this song that I sing for you, cause its the one that you taught me and just cause of that, no other melody will do.

Note Out of the Blue

The Day that I picked up that pen,
The day that I let you back in
A day that I'll never remember.
All of these words pass me by
So I don't even need to know why.
Cause it's a day that I'll never remember.
And this day,
It lasts forever. :)

I’ll love ya, Tomorrow.

Sometimes to have our good days, we need our bad ones too. At least, that is what we tell ourselves until we realize that that bad day, is today. That day, where the world forgets that you are a part of it, where everything turns against you. That day, when every little thing, and every big thing, goes wrong.
Yep.
We are always okay with having bad days until we realize that bad days SUCK!
What in the world can make us feel better?

..When we take a step back from the world, we get the chance to see not only all that we are, but also, all that we have been blessed with and all that we have the potential to become. When we forget about the bad today, and focus on the hopeful tomorrow, the loving tomorrow, the promising tomorrow, we gain something completely beyond ourselves. Because the gifts of love, of opportunity, of hope, of friendship, family, love and talents are so much bigger, so much more powerful than our bad yesterday could ever add up to be.
And embracing this? Well, embracing this means that it’s a brand new day, and that there is a consistent hope for what we will wake up to when we open our eyes, tomorrow.

Open your eyes there love,
so much is right here waiting for you.

Trust that life won’t pass you by

Don’t take life too seriously. So often we get caught up in the day to dayness that is our lives and we forget what living is all about. With the hustle, and the bustle, and with the decisions that define the paths we take, always remember this key. Cause after all, the person that you are in the lives of others is remarkable ..so trust that person.  Not only for their sake, but also for your own. There are lifetimes of opportunities, goals, and roles for you to pursue out there. So, enjoy this ride of life and try to follow your heart as often as you can so that those opportunities, can find you in a moment when you least expect it—otherwise, the worry you create throughout the wait will prevent you from discovering the path your heart is after..and you just wouldn’t want to pass up on the chances that could have gotten you there all along. Trust life, and you’ll be surprised by how it lets you live it.

Looking for what things mean

Reflecting.
So long before
Lost and confused
Working
Working it out.
Delving.

And finally
Knowing
Knowing what to search for in life
Understanding
The things that make you tick
The things your heart desires
Your anchors.
Your inner self.

Discovering what matters most
And running with and towards that
With everything that you have.

A Smile in the Silence

I like being alone. I like being quite.
Feeling like nothing else in the world matters.
I like being at peace. Letting my thoughts wander. Because with wandering thoughts comes wonder…and nothing in the world is better than the things that are wonderful.
When smiles come to our faces, we are reminded of that.
When tears roll down our cheeks, we are reminded of that.
When we just sit in the silence, we are reminded of that.
We feel, We live, We thrive.

One of the best things in the entire world
Is a hug
A long
Sincere
Loving, hug.
What a feeling of happiness.
What a feeling of joy
Being together
Together with people who make you smile.
Remind you of who you are striving to be.
Embrace you.
..What a feeling it is,
To feel love.

The ode to the umbrella

Sunshine Girl
The Color to my world.
Umbrellas in unstoppable rain.
Your shining smile
Makes me so happy
I forget about the world and its pain.
Sunshine girl.
Oh, you’re my sunshine girl.

One

Their Feet hit the ground
All of them
Tapping.
Moving.
And I am a part of them.
My feet hit the ground too..
And I move.

But in this moment we move together
Breath together
Glide.
And right now we are one.
Right now is when I feel most
That I am a part of them.
With Breath taking
And heart pacing
The whole world stops,
But we,
We move.
And we move as one

The seconds that matter

Tick tock on the clock
The love in the heart never stops
When the winds blowin round
And you cant hear a sound
You still hear
Tick
Tock
But where are these lines all defined?
In this crazy life
Yours or mine
Cause when you add it all
Its not always a tick
Or a tock
In the end
That sounds just the clock

If we could add to the beauty

In his age he sat there quietly in a room surrounded by all of the people that he loved.  His eyes shifted from one side of the room, to the other. The expression on his face was somewhere in between a smile and a frown, evidencing the peace that he seemed to experience in that very moment.  She sat there as well, watched him, and wondered if it really was peace after all. She understood so well the simple nature that seemed to radiate from his very soul, and could believe that peace was a big part of who this man had become. But maybe, just maybe, this peace he had found wasn’t really peace, but instead, true and complete understanding.
The room, much like their relationship, was divided and complicated. The old man sat in the middle, watching as the one he loved for years beamed at those who were extensions of her very self. She loved those kids, worshiped them as if they were prophets themselves. They lived in a perfect world, a world he knew she had always dreamed of for herself, and he loved them for bringing her that joy.
As his eyes shifted to the other side of the room, the old man witnessed his sons embrace, and it brought him joy to see them that way. He sat as his grandkids cracked jokes, watching as their relationships continued to develop and grow not only as cousins, but also as friends.
For a brief moment he wished this for them all. She saw this, and she wished it too. For everyone.
As the man reflected, he realized that he took pride in the successes and failures that had arisen throughout the years in and with both groups. He could see, after all, the sincerity of love and faith within each of them, but was also confused by their reluctance to express their miraculous souls, and to share them as openly and freely with one another.
Didn’t they want to know and understand what the other thought? Didn’t they want to listen? Did they really, truly care for and about one another, differences aside? Why did that affect them so much?
He didn't understand
but she did
There were so many people involved.
So many secrets.
Unspoken heartaches.
Deep rooted practices, thoughts, beliefs.
Ignorance
criticism
Yet in spite of all of this
He loved them all the same.
and she did too,
but she could never see and understand things they way that he did. Not with all of that restraint. Not with all of that confusion.

Yet in the end, there was nothing either of them could do.
He knew this from a very young age, much like she did, this girl who now observed  him from a couch only 7 feet away.
People have to set their own terms for their relationships.
Even though it doesn't matter,
 the rustle or the tussle.
Because if they all just took a moment to listen, to listen, and truly understand..
things would change for the better.
The only question was if that moment would eventually come, or if it would be suppressed until they too sat in the middle of a room one day much like him. The only question was whether or not they could ever really understand the beauty that was evident before his very eyes, and the story that had the potential to be told to the world. The question was about what they really had within them.
